As usual, we went to Cann*nsburg for some spring time photos. J wanted to dip her toes into the water. It is a small creek that dumps into the Stones River. The sequence below is not a true and accurate account of what happened but it is needed. We did get to do a full photo shoot between the first photo and the other 3. You will see some of those shots in the next post but this was too good to pass up!!!
Here she is taking off her shoe so that she can dip just one foot into the creek to see if it is too cold.... It was a little chilly but I promised that once we got done with the other photos we would be back to stick both feet in...
Once we were done, J sat down and took off her left shoe and placed it upon the rock that was next to her. Well, it fell off and tumbled into the creek. By the time that I got to the edge, it had gone into the middle of the creek.
It was only about 2 ft deep but that was too much for me not to get all wet... It was, after all, just a shoe... We followed it down the creek where it joined with Stones River. We waved goodbye and said that we hoped a kid that was missing her left shoe would find it!
I did confirm with J that if she had fallen in, I would have gone in after her!!!

Did Miss J "lose a shoe" in the pond when we went on a hike here in NC? Hummmm...I see a pattern.
