The Flu is gone...

Jessica is now back to normal. Even Debbie is back to normal as well. She had a touch of the respitory illness as well. Thanks for your prayers.

The Flu

As of today, Jessica has the singular honor of being the first case of the FLU at our doctor's office. She is so pitiful looking it would be unfair to post her picture here. Pray for her recovery.

Debbie and I were prescribed tamiflu to ward off any bugs that might have "jumped ship". Pray for us too.

A new computer for mom & dad

Here's the poem for mom & dad.. mom had no idea. It was so fun seeing the surprise on her face.

Merry Christmas Mom &Dad:

You can use what Daddy got you

Yes we know it is a plug

We know you are going to need it

Cause your old computer is coming down with a bug

We hope that you like it and it is not a drag

I can tell you one thing it does not fit in this bag...

Love- all of us!
Mom reaching into the bag for what she thought would be a gift cardMom reading the poem realizing that we all had tricked her....

My Best Friend, Tracie

My best friends mom passed away this past week. She battled lung cancer for a long time. Tracie needed me during this time to be a babysitter. I, of course, did anything she needed. The girls and I had a great time. Hide-n-go seek is a blast when you can hide in the same spot everytime and they still don't get it... hee hee
Here the girls are coloring quitely as Ava sleeps upstairs. Ava is awake... Look at those blue eyes... how cute is she...
Here the girls pose for their glamour shot!!!

Christmas Cookie Swap

Every year we have tried to get together at Christmas to swap cookies so that we will have a good assortment of sweets for snackin g on. This year Bonni, Cheryl, Daphne and I all met at Daphne's home. The kids played upstairs while we swapped the cookies and then we all ate brunch. Here are some silly pic's .... not pictured is Lillian (she is not big enough yet). The boys don't seem to like picture taking as much as the girls....

All I want for Christmas....

Jessica finally got to see Santa. She has been talking non-stop about him but.... she was a little slow going up to him. She told him what she wanted for Christmas.... a doll and pencils... WHEW!!!

Jessica was the STAR this week at school

Jessica was the star this week at school but... she was home sick for 2 1/2 days this week. Today I went to school with her and she got to tell everyone one about her pictures on the special board and then I read one of her favorite books. "Shoey and Dot" is a book by Stephen Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman regarding adopting their daughter Shoey from China. After all that, they had a special snack. Jessica will get to still be the STAR next week since it a short week anyway!!!

Christmas pictures that did not make the cut

I laugh as some of these pictures are the ones that I would use because it would be cute & funny however, my picks got veto'd by Jessica and Daddy. Oh well. Here is my 2 cents worth with added commentary...
I am the Queen of Cheese... Want some for Christmas?"
Oh yeah.. see the loop to loop in the background....
"What kind of pinecone ornament is this??"
"Santa you better check this mailbox when you get here because it has a list of what I want for Christmas."
I saw Jessica kissing Santa Clause... Do you think it will get her better gifts????
